Mt. Lebanon Municipal Building
Westmoreland Electric performed a challenging project when Mt. Lebanon renovated their Municipal Building. Keeping the 911 Center, located in this building, in operation while renovating the rest of the building presented many coordination and scheduling concerns for the City. This project was a renovation to an art deco style building built in 1929 that was the home for the municipal authorities, fire department, and the South Hills Regional 911 Center. The Architect maintained a lot of the original architecture and blended it with modern features in the office areas.
Part of our contract was the restoration of three of the original light fixtures custom built and installed in 1929. These light fixtures have been the subject of many newspaper articles and were the pride of the community. Shown here are the fixtures that we restored along with a new one that we needed to purchase to try to match the existing fixtures.
